Corfe Castle rising from the mists during the blue hour before sunrise in the Purbeck Hills in the English County of Dorset
This area is known for its spectacular inversions. I had only one day in the area. The weather predicted good chance of fog. As I was driving from my hotel at 4 in the morning, the atmosphere didn't seem particularly misty, and I was concerned that I will not get the chance to see the castle ruins rising from the mists. However, as I got closer, the mists started coalescing around me, and, boy, did they not disappoint at the location. I spent over two hours shooting through the blue and golden hours with waves of mist washing over the hills and the ruins of the castle.
